Faculty Member, Philosophy
About
I hold a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Ulster at Coleraine, an MPhil in Moral Philosophy from the University of St Andrews, and a PhD in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago.
I began teaching as an adjunct in the Department of Philosophy at what was then Westfield State College in Fall 1999, and became a full-time member of faculty only in Fall 2004. (On October 23, 2010, the institution became Westfield State University.) Mainly, I teach ethics, logic, and the history of philosophy. I've also taught political philosophy and the philosophy of religion, and have quite recently begun teaching Asian philosophy.
My current area of research activity is the philosophical concept of terrorism. I've published a few essays, and have given presentations of my research in not only the US, but also in Turkey and Portugal.
